Habaneros, the oldest Mexican restaurant in Southern Oregon, has long been the local’s favorite choice for Mexican food and a great place to enjoy a drink or listen to live entertainment. Locally owned and operated since 1986, Habaneros is located in the heart of Oldtown Medford, Oregon with plenty of on and off-street parking. Enjoy an authentic, traditional Mexican lunch or dinner on the lush, tropical patio or in our family friendly main dining room. Planning a bash? Have a party or get-together with a large group in our spacious banquet room (seats 50).

All our food is made fresh daily with the emphasis on distinctive sauces and salsas, traditional Mexican fare and fresh fish offered for our daily specials. Habanero’s serves only food made in-house with the freshest ingredients. All salsas are unique from others in town and our cooks are always experimenting with new things. The cooks all contribute to the menu, adding their own flare to each dish.

We have the largest tequila selection in Southern Oregon and the majority of available Mexican imported beers, either in bottles or on tap. We also feature live music in The Cantina on Friday and Saturday from 9pm – close. (for 13 years now). In early 2007, The Cantina was remodeled with a large storefront window decorated with a spicy-orange awning. The window helped make the bar both feel larger and aesthetically pleasing. That same year, the entire building was repainted bright colors to emphasize Habanero’s Mexican festiveness for which it has become so well liked.

Habanero’s also provides outdoor seating, ideal from Spring-Fall when it’s warm. Our tropical patio is a relaxing place to sip a margarita or imported Mexican beer under our colorful parasols. An old wisteria vine offers both shade and privacy from the street.

We serve ice-cold Mexican beers, microbrews, a variety of expertly made margaritas or sample from our lineup of world famous tequilas. Our popular “Habby Hour” food specials offer a variety of tasty Mexican botanas (appetizers) priced from $1.00 to $5.00 in The Cantina everyday. We also have live music every weekend from 9:00- Close, playing all-time favorite songs.
